Dum Aloo

Dum Aloo Party is a recipe and you can serve it in front of the guests. This vegetable is made in rich gravy and its test is also excellent. It may take some time to prepare, but its taste will remove all your fatigue. Read Master Cook Style Dum Aloo Recipe –

ingredient of Dum Aloo

Boiled Potatoes – 11 (300 grams)
Tomato – 4 (250 grams)
Green Chili – 1
Ginger – ½ inch piece
Cashews – 8-10
Coriander – Table Spoon (finely chopped)
Oil – 3 tbsp
Cumin seeds – 1/4 teaspoon
Asafoetida – ½ pinch
Cinnamon – 1
Cardamom – 1
Cloves – 2
Black pepper – 4-5
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Red chili powder – ½ tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala – 1/4 teaspoon
Kasuri Methi – Tsp
Salt – 1 tsp or as per taste

Method of Dum Aloo

To make Dum Aloo, take small variety of potatoes. Boil them. Do not boil the potatoes too much. Just turn off the gas when 1 whistle comes in the cooker and take out the potatoes.

Peel the boiled potatoes. Remove the peeled potato so that the spices inside the potato go well. Mix 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/4 teaspoon less red chili powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt in the potato and mix. Make tomato, ginger, green chilli and cashew paste.

To fry the potatoes, put the pan on the gas and put 2-3 tsp oil in it and heat it. When the oil is hot, add potatoes to it and roast it till it becomes brown all around. When the potatoes are of good brown crispy color, take them out in a bowl.

Now heat 2 tablespoons oil in the pan. Add cumin, cinnamon pieces, cloves, black pepper, large cardamom seeds and fry lightly in hot oil. Now add asafoetida, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, coriander powder and 1 tsp kasoori methi and fry it lightly.

Add tomato cashew paste to the spices and add red chili powder to it and fry it till the oil starts separating from the spices. Add 1 cup of water to the spices and mix. If the gravy looks thick, then you can add ½ cup of water to it. Add garam masala, salt and a little green coriander to the gravy and mix. Add the baked potatoes to the gravy and mix. Cover the vegetable and let it cook on low flame for 4-5 minutes, then check.

After 5 minutes the vegetable is ready, take it out in a bowl. Garnish with green coriander and serve these tempting flavors rich potato potatoes with chapatti, naan or rice and enjoy its taste.
